Hi, Reader,

What did you think of the travel tips last week? If you end up using any of them, let me know!

What We Are Nourishing This Week:

Sciatica plagues so many of my clients.

If you are unfamiliar with sciatica, it involves pain along the course of the sciatic nerve, which comes out of the low back, travels down the buttock to the leg, and then runs all the way to the toes.

Those with endometriosis can be susceptible to sciatica because the same stickiness that can negatively impact their organs can also affect their nerves.

Fortunately, the way that we work with organs to help them maintain their mobility can also be applied to nerves, such as the sciatic nerve.

Check out these two techniques for massaging the sciatic nerve:

  2. Sciatic nerve massage, part 2 (instagram/TikTok)

Bonus

Yesterday, I updating and re-filming the abdominal wall techniques for Unstick Endo, when I had an experience I have a lot with this work: I felt a sense of relaxed euphoria.

Many of my clients report to me that they feel "high" after organ massage. One client even said they felt like I had rubbed psilocybin on their body.

While this is a very common report (feeling high, not the psilocybin part), I don't fully understand why it happens.

It might be due to vagus nerve stimulation, since the vagus nerve innervates so many of our organs.

Or perhaps it stimulates an endorphin release.

Whatever the cause, the relaxed euphoria often makes organ massage my go-to tool for self-soothing when I'm stressed and self-calming before bed.
