Nourish (TOWARD)

Have you thought about your liver lately? I ask because I've become a bit obsessed with mine. I find the liver incredibly fascinating. It performs so many functions for the body that I could not list them all in this email. And, it might be one of the most important organs for endometriosis, because it helps our bodies metabolize and eliminate estrogen.

It's a large organ that lives under your ribs on the right side. It's also heavy because of how much blood it's processing every minute. Because it's large and heavy, it can be easier to feel and work with when you're first trying organ massage.

Reduce (AWAY)

This week, I'm moving back away from sugar after indulging last week for Valentine's Day.

As I've worked more and more with my liver, I've noticed that it feels boggy in my lower right ribs when I've overindulged. I believe it's because the liver helps to balance blood sugar, and I gave mine too much to do.

This awareness is especially important in endometriosis since we don't want to overwhelm the liver, and instead want to optimize it's ability to deal with estrogen.
